Michael Scolaro & Juan Mora
Both Michael and Juan should be present at the Team Parent Meeting on Aug 31st for introductions and to answer any questions you may have.
Please see below for a little bit of background on both of these outstanding coaches.
Michael Scolaro
Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley Southern California, Mike has been involved in coaching and managing baseball and softball programs for over 15 years. That experience covers young adults from 5 to 18 years of age. In his professional life he is a police executive with 24 years of dedicated service to the City of Los Angeles. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Management and is pursuing a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership.
Through his coaching time, Mike has been involved in running various programs from little league through scout ball and various college showcase programs. As a coach he concentrates his focus on fundamental improvement and positive reinforcement. His goal is to be a positive role model while preparing students with the ability and opportunity to continue their education and play at the next level if that is an objective. This focus involves a strong emphasis on exceeding educational requirements and understanding the mental aspects of competitive sports.
As a new member of our coaching staff, we have high hopes that the future transitions from JV to Varsity baseball will be seamless for our student athletes when the time comes.
Juan Mora Juan was a part of the 2019 Poly class who played the open division semifinals at USC. After high school, “Coach Pops” played middle infield for Los Angeles Mission College.
